Day 1
Fly from the UK to San José
Days 1-2
San José/Quepos
After spending some time in San Jose, your place of arrival, proceed to Quepos and spend a few days unwinding and exploring Manuel Antonio National Park. The Pacific Coast of Costa Rica, where the small town of Quepos is located, is a wonderful place to unwind and take in the nearby sea and sun. Manuel Antonio National Park is nearby and offers stunning white-sand beaches with warm, turquoise water that are perfect for swimming, fishing, kayaking, boogie boarding, sailing, and surfing.

Day 3
Quepos
Spend a day at leisure exploring and unwinding in the Manuel Antonio region. Choose between taking a surfing lesson, a sunset sailing excursion, or a kayaking tour through mangroves. Quepos offers a lot of things to see and do and you are welcome to unwind or try optional activities like surfing, mangrove kayaking, and visiting Manuel Antonio National Park.

Days 4-5
Monteverde
Travel from Quepos to Monteverde and enjoy the area's refreshing mountain air. Experience the nocturnal activities of the cloud forest firsthand by going on an included guided night walk. Ascend to the cloud forest region of Monteverde. Spend a few days exploring the town and a cloud forest preserve, which is a haven for birdwatchers. Many of the cooperatives in this distinctive community are worth visiting. After dark, take a 2-hour guided tour through the cloud forest with your assigned naturalist guide. During this leisurely walk, keep your eyes and ears peeled for any nocturnal wildlife in the area, including mammals, birds, insects, reptiles, and amphibians. Everything depends on the day and your luck, so you never know what you might see!

Days 6-8
La Fortuna
From Monteverde, proceed to La Fortuna.The town of La Fortuna, which is close to the Arenal Volcano, makes a great base for exploration. Get a bird's eye view of the forest vegetation by canyoning (rappelling), swimming in the chilly La Fortuna waterfall, or hiking the area's nature trails. La Fortuna offers a lot to see and do, so we wanted to make sure you had enough time to experience it all. Enjoy some downtime or sign up for one of the optional pursuits like canyoneering, whitewater rafting, or paddleboarding.

Days 9-10
Sarapiquí Rainforest
On your way to Sarapiqui Rainforest Stop by a G Adventures-supported traditional coffee tour in the tiny village of San Miguel de Sarapiqui. You'll then make you way into the jungle oasis where you will spend the night completely submerged in the rainforest. The jungle lodge puts you right in the middle of the hundreds of different animal, bird, and butterfly species that call the Sarapiqu Valley home. Get up and explore the Sarapiqu Rainforest to find some of the more than 400 birds that live here. Keep an eye out for rare species while being guided by a local expert, and don't forget your swimsuit as they'll be an opportunity for a refreshing swim!

Days 11-12
Tortuguero
A portion of the adventure is the trip to Tortuguero itself! Embark on a private van, then continue your journey by boat. On arrival in Tortuguero, Consider going at night to the green and leatherback turtles' nesting locations. Even when turtles aren't in season, Tortuguero is a great place to see wildlife. You can choose to go kayaking through the canals and observe the wildlife, get up early and go to the beach to observe the hatching of turtle eggs, or just stroll around the town.

Days 13-14
Puerto Viejo de Talamanca
Head to Talamanca's Puerto Viejo. Embrace your free time to discover paradise! Before going to the beach, you should unwind at the "La Isla" Botanical Gardens. With breathtaking scenery along the way, a morning boat ride and drive end in Puerto Viejo de Talamanca. The Manzanillo National Wildlife Refuge can be explored or unwinded in this seaside community. The 14 km of unmatched white- and black-sand beaches in the picturesque village of Puerto Viejo de Talamanca are encircled by exotic tropical vegetation. Join our CEO for a bike ride to the beach. Spend the entire day in Puerto Viejo discovering this little piece of paradise.

Days 15-16
Puerto Viejo de Talamanca/San José
Before returning to San Jose for the final night with the group, spend the morning at leisure. Take a bus back to the city's centre and cross the mountains.
