Fly from the UK to Cairo

Arrival in Cairo
Welcome to Egypt! Upon your Cairo Airport arrival, you'll be transferred to your hotel. Join a unique Backstreets tour, venturing off the beaten path to explore Downtown Cairo, Islamic Cairo's stunning mosques and monuments, Garbage City, and the incredible Cave Church of St. Simon. At 7pm, meet your guide and fellow travelers at the Welcome Meeting.

Day 2
Pyramids of Giza
Explore the iconic pyramids and Sphinx at the Giza Plateau. These ancient wonders, listed among the Seven Wonders of the World, have captivated visitors for centuries. Discover the history and significance of Cheops, Chephren, and Mycerinus pyramids. Visit a government-supervised papyrus emporium before exploring the necropolis of Saqqara and Zhoser’s Step Pyramid. The evening is free to relax or explore Cairo at your leisure.

Grand Egyptian Museum
Visit the vast Grand Egyptian Museum, home to an astounding collection of relics and antiquities spanning Egypt's history. Explore the Royal Mummies' Hall at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, showcasing remarkably preserved mummies. Later, board the overnight sleeper train to Luxor.
