The nearby Charles Darwin Research Station is also worth a visit for an introduction to some of the unique wildlife and history of the area. Fed by the ocean on one end and a river on the other, Las Grietas is ideal for a refreshing morning swim. Afterwards, a speedboat transfer takes you to nearby Floreana Island, a small, inhabited island in the Galápagos Archipelago. Many of its residents have lived there for the past three generations since the islands were first colonised. Keep an eye out for dolphins and birds along the way!
