Day 1
Fly from the UK to San Francisco
Days 1-4
San Francisco
Fabulous San Francisco is known for its welcoming, laid-back vibe. Discover the Ferry Building’s popular farmer’s market, the restaurants and sea lions of Pier 39 and the eclectic shops of Union Square. Perhaps visit the Aquarium of the Bay, the Walt Disney Family Museum or cruise the waters of San Francisco Bay and gaze at the Golden Gate Bridge.

Days 4-5
Napa Valley
Sip on superior quality cabernet in the sun-drenched Napa Valley, its rolling green hills carpeted in vineyards and home to over 400 boutique wineries. Taste the top notch wines and dine on gourmet cellar door food, or perhaps choose to hop on board the historic Napa Valley Wine Train for an unforgettable dining experience. The food served on board is fabulous, so be sure to come hungry!

Days 5-6
Monterey
Drive to the seaside town of Monterey, where the beautiful coastline with its seals, pelicans and otters, and its range of water-based activities, is the star attraction. Most visitors head straight for the world-renowned Monterey Bay Aquarium, but there’s more to this town than just the marine life. Waterfront Cannery Row is lined with romantic hotels and tempting seafood restaurants, just waiting to be sampled. Monterey Jack cheese also originated here, so why not give it a try?

Days 6-7
Pismo Beach
Along the central coast of California, with a wide sandy beach, Pismo is a relaxing spot to break your California journey. Watch the sunset from the pier, try some sea kayaking or take a hummer through the sand dunes. Pismo Beach is a great base from which to explore the parks, museums, galleries and shops of San Luis Obispo or make a day trip of it and call in at Paso Robles to try the local wines at one of over 200 wineries in the area.

Days 7-9
Santa Barbara
Soak up the laid-back atmosphere in affluent Santa Barbara. Come for fine wines, warm sunshine and the fresh Pacific air, and don’t forget to try the wide assortment of artisanal produce on offer. The blue sky, sun and whitewashed houses combine to give a Mediterranean feel, so take a stroll around town, and indulge in a fine wine or two overlooking the glorious surrounding mountains and rolling hills.

Days 9-11
Los Angeles
Arrive in glitzy LA, look out for the odd movie star or two in Hollywood and find their star on the Walk of Fame. You can find any type of cuisine you can imagine here, but we recommend trying the noodles of Chinatown and the sushi of Koreatown. Why not take a tour of the city and the Hollywood Stars homes, you'll get a glimpse of some celebrity homes like Sandra Bullock and Katy Perry. For something a bit different check out the Cathedral of Our Lady of Angels, a huge, modern structure – very LA.

Depart Los Angeles and return to the UK
