It offers unrivalled comfort, service and entertainment onboard and, in conjunction with its partners, more than 10 options to New Zealand. And with Air New Zealand's uniquely Kiwi service and abundant stopover opportunities from east to west, there's never been a better way to fly.
Web and Mobile Check-in
Online check-in is open between 24 hours and 90 minutes before your flight, however, this may close 120 minutes prior to departure in some instances. You can check-in and download your boarding pass via the Air NZ mobile app. Online check-in may not be available on all flights, so do check with your Flight Centre Travel Expert in advance. Where online check-in is unavailable, please use the kiosk or counter at the airport. If you’ve checked in online but have hold luggage, remember that you still have to tag and drop your bags before bag drop closes.
If you have all your required entry and transit documentation (such as visas, ESTA, NZTD or proof of onward travel), you can skip the queues and use the self-service kiosks. Air New Zealand self-serve kiosks are available at:
- Auckland, Blenheim, Christchurch, Dunedin, Hamilton, Invercargill, Napier, Nelson, New Plymouth, Palmerston North, Rotorua, Tauranga, Queenstown and Wellington
- Adelaide, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney
- Los Angeles, San Fransisco and Vancouver
- Hong Kong, Nadi, Narita and Singapore
If you're flying with a partner airline, check in at the partner airline's departure desks.
International bag drop opening times vary; typically, they are open three hours before departure. For domestic flights within New Zealand, it closes 30 minutes before departure.
