Swim with Dolphins
The best spot for swimming with Dolphins is Baie du Tamarin on the East of the island, located at the mouth of the Black river. There is a pod of dolphins who have chosen to make this corner of Mauritius their home. Best viewed in the mornings or early evenings, make sure that you don’t miss the chance to swim with dolphins on your holiday to Mauritius.
Take in a rum tour
The tipple of choice in Mauritius is rum, which is desperately unsurprising when you drive past the fields full of sugar cane and consider that so much of this islands population relies on the sea. Why not get better acquainted with the production of this liquor and taste some of the finest samples on the island. The best place to do this is Rhumerie de Chamarel, a rum distillery in the South West of the island.
