Public Transport
The Gautrain metro services the airport via Sandton, Marlboro and Rhodesfield every 12 minutes during peak time, and every 20 to 30 minutes in off peak times. Buses also run between the airport at the city every 10 to 15 minutes.
Car Hire
Car hire desks are located in the parking lot opposite the domestic terminal. Companies available include Avis, Hertz, Europcar, Budget, Thrifty, First Car Rental, Sixt and Tempest Car Hire. Talk to your consultant about booking car hire in advance.
Check-in
Check-in zones are located on the departures level of the terminal.
Money Exchange
A range of money exchange facilities and cash machines are located at the international arrivals terminal. There is also an Absa Bank outlet located at the international departures terminal.
Business Services
A conference centre and business support facilities can be found within Terminals A1 and A2.
Internet Access
Internet can be accessed from the Airport Online branch located in the international departures terminal and in the domestic terminal. There are also Wi-Fi hotspots available in the domestic terminal's boarding gates, retail level and departures-level restaurants, as well as in the international terminals' airline lounges, arrivals terminal, mezzanine-level restaurants and duty-free mall.
Family Facilities
Baby changing facilities are located within the arrivals and departures terminal.
Baggage
A baggage storage facility can be found on the upper level of the underground parkade in the international terminal, near the main lift lobby. The facility is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Airline Lounges

South African Airways - South African Airways welcomes it's Star Alliance, First and Business Class passengers to the Baobab Business Class Lounge. O.R. Tambo International Airport is home to the airline's flagship lounge which offers world class facilities and is located on the Mezzanine floor of the international departures terminal near A gates. Within the lounge, guests can recline on chaise lounges, unwind under rainfall showers and be entertained in the audio-visual room, complete with free Wi-Fi, built-in private screens and a dedicated kid's area. A staffed bar and self-service food area is also available.
British Airways - British Airways First Class and Gold Executive passengers are free to enjoy the Galleries First Lounge while Gold and Silver Executive members can visit the Galleries Club lounge at O.R. Tambo International Airport. The Galleries First Lounge seats 80 people and boasts 'The Gold Bar' lit by a crystal chandelier and stocked with a unique range of wine and spirits. Guests can also enjoy the Deli Bar and Coffee House or access complimentary internet at the work and entertainment zone. The Galleries Club Lounge features a 'Silver Bar' as well as hot and cold foods from the Deli Bar and Coffee House. A work and entertainment zone is also available.
Emirates - Found on the Mezzanine level between gates A4 and A7, O.R. Tambo's Emirates Lounge is available to the airline's First and Business Class passengers and Skywards Gold passengers. Inside, guests can relax on leather armchairs, freshen up in the showers and choose from a range of complimentary, gourmet chef prepared food.
Terminal Transfers
O.R. Tambo International Airport is made up of 6 terminals; the international terminals, the domestic terminals and the transit terminals. Four shuttle buses run regularly between the airport's terminals and remote parking areas.
